Digital Health resources, commentary and more...

A brief history of Healthbase:-

Healthbase Australia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation providing resources and commentary about digital health in Australia.
Healthbase Australia has been an important online source of e-health ( now digital health ) information for over 15 years. Established in 1999, Healthbase Australia commenced its online presence with a catalogue of online health related sites. This resource was described in a publication and presentation at the Australian Health Informatics Society (HIC) conference in Adelaide in July 2000, recommending the adoption of XML and RDF based metadata techniques to describe online health-related websites.
Not long after this, the Google search engine took the online web world by storm.

Healthbase Australia has long continued to publish some material specific to medicines; pathology data and messaging standards; and clinical terminology. These sites will continue to be available via these links:-
